Q: When Will My Order Ship?

Orders received by 2pm EST time are typically processed the same day received Monday-Friday.

Days in transit will vary depending on your location and selected shipping options. Standard deliveries range from 1-5 days and may vary during the holiday season.

For UPS shipments you can track the progress of the order using the shipment tracking number available on your order.

Shipping delays can occur when the wrong address or zip code is submitted for the shipping address. If the shipping company cannot deliver the package we will contact you via phone or e-mail.

Q: What Shipping Options Are Available?

Dirty Hooker Diesel offers our customers the option of selecting 2 Day Ground, Next Day, or Next Day Air through either the United States Postal Service (USPS) or United Parcel Service (UPS) for shipments.

Shipments over 150 lbs. can ship LTL motor freight.

Q: What Is A Affirm Doc Fee?

If your participating in third party financing from Affirm, it is DHD's policy to collect a doc fee. This doc fee is designed to partially offset the costs DHD incurres when Affirm is used as a payment method. Dirty Hooker Diesel pays to offer the terms and interest rates your taking advantage of. This Doc Fee is not profit. In the event you wish to avoid a doc fee please consider paying with cash, credit, check or electronic bank transaction. Our Customer Service Team would be more then happy to help process any of these other forms of payment.

Q: How Do I Return A Core?

Core Return Policy All Cores must be returned with the Core Return Form. A core charge is a refundable deposit for the value of a re-buildable part. On many DHD products, we need to charge a core charge at the time of the sale. All cores must be returned to DHD and have a core return sheet properly filled out. The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. Please ship all cores to the address found on the Core Return Form. Upon receipt of the core, DHD will determine the condition of the core and refund

  • All cores must be the same model as the original item that was purchased.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to properly package their core to ensure it arrives safely.
  • Core must be fully assembled and intact and all parts must be attached with all hardware.
  • Returns within 30 days of purchase for full credit.
  • Returns within 31-45 days will receive 90% credit.
  • Returns within 45-90 days will receive 50% credit.
  • Returns over 90 days will not be accepted.
  • Camshaft lobes must still maintain factory specs.
  • Cam gear surface area must be to stock specs.
  • Cam must not be rusty or pitted.

CYLINDER HEADS

  • Once core heads are returned they will be pressure checked and inspected by a 3rd party machine shop. If a head fails a pressure check, or has to be resurfaced beyond specifications it will not be credited as a core.

INJECTORS AND PUMPS

  • Injectors must be fully assembled.
  • Injectors that were involved in a fire will NOT qualify.
  • When returning core Injectors and pumps, they must be returned in original packaging/box. No box, no credit, no exceptions.
  • Core injectors and pumps must be drained. If UPS sees fluid coming out of the box, your shipment won't even make it to us, they turn it around and you get to start over!

TRANSFER CASE CORES

  • Transfer case must be fully assembled with all parts intact. Missing parts or unassembled units may not be eligible for core credit.
  • Transfer cases must NOT have any holes or cracks in the front housing that bolts to the transmission.
  • Transfer cases must be fully drained of fluid prior to shipping. If UPS sees fluid coming out of the box, your shipment won't even make it to us, they turn it around and you get to start over.

TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE

  • Must be in rebuildable condition. Your core refund may be subject to deductions based on damage to hard parts. Please call with questions.
  • Must be fully assembled and all hardware present.
  • Must be fully drained of all fluids. If UPS sees fluid coming out of the box, your shipment won't even make it to us, they turn it around and you get to start over.
  • Core credits are issued post core inspection and validation by our engine department. Engine cores often require 3rd party machine shop inspections and credit may be delayed until that process is complete. 
  • Any effort to stop payment or avoid core charges may result in legal action.

Q: How Do I Cancel My Order?

Cancellation Policy

In the event you need to cancel your order please contact our Customer Service Department at 989-479-0444. To help expedite the cancellation process it's imperative you call in your request. Email cancellation requests may not surface prior to order completion or shipment. If a cancellation occurs after shipment, it will be subject to our return policy. Please see “Return Policy”

In the event you chose to cancel your order, you may be held responsible for payment processing fees charged to DHD specifically related to your transaction. DHD incurs non-refundable costs on ANY form of electronic payment, even when the transaction is canceled. These costs are known as merchant fees. These fees range from 3-6% dependent on form of payment and will not be refunded to the buyer. Special considerations and exclusions apply. DHD management decisions are final.

Q: How Are Returns Handled?

Return Policy

Returns on most products are allowed for a period of up to 30 Days. Any request for return beyond the 30 day window will be granted only at our discretion and terms. Please see return exclusions list below.

If an item needs to be returned, Please contact our Customer Service Department at 989-479-0444 to discuss the reason for the return and make the necessary arrangements. Our shipping team can provide you a return label at your expense. This expense will either need to be paid for up front or will be deducted from your refund. All return shipping costs are the customers responsibility.

Refund:

The amount of the refund will be based on the original purchase price of the product and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Any shipping or packaging costs associated with fulfillment of the original order are non-refundable. If your original order qualified for free shipping, the direct expenses associated with the shipment will be deducted from your refund.

Yes! For the best rate, we recommend selecting the United State Postal Service (USPS) as your shipping method for Alaska, Hawaii and International deliveries.
