The DP Customs 03-07 Duramax Front Route AC Suction Line replaces your factory AC suction line and changes the routing to a more convenient and aesthetic location.
From factory, the 2001-2010 Duramax AC suction line routes behind the ac compressor and over the turbo before entering the accumulator. Unfortunately, this factory routing becomes a major nuisance when running aftermarket single T4,T6 or compound turbo set ups. Often times enthusiast are required to bend their factory suction line up and over the compressor cover due to the added aftermarket turbo height. With hood stacks and compound turbo atmospheric downpipes, bending at the accumulator might be required as well. This can be stressful on the aluminum line, cause hood closing interference and look awkward when showing off your pride and joy. Imagine not having to remove the belt, and unbolt/swing over the ac compressor just to change out the turbo or work on anything in the valley!
The DP Customs 03-07 Duramax Front Route AC Suction Line comes as a "drop in" kit and includes everything needed for the front route style conversion. Our custom billet adapter fittings are made from billet aluminum to prevent rusting both internally/externally and are precision machined for a leak free design. Installation:
First, properly evacuate the AC system. Mount the according shaped billet adapter fittings w/ seals at the accumulator and compressor. Next, thread on the longer hose section with the female 45* hose end to the accumulator and route the hose forward toward the fan shroud area. Then, thread on the shorter hose with the male 45* hose end to the ac compressor. Clock both 45* hose ends to desired angles and tighten. Last, use the billet coupler to connect both hose sections together by the straight hose ends and tighten. Charge AC system.
