Description

In the world of Allison transmissions, there is no one better in the torque converter game then Goerend. This bolt together converter offers serviceability and adjustability to those using Allison's in extremely competitive environments. One of the biggest factors in spooling your turbo or turbos is the stall speed/efficiency of your torque converter. This converter allows you to edit stall speeds by changing the stator internally without the need to install a new converter. This level of serviceability is a must for those making turbo changes or class changes often. In addition to stator changes you be able to replace or maintain the lockup clutches during disassembly.

Configuration Options:

Due to internal limitations, these converters are setup into 2 configurations. Each configuration allows specific changes.

Config 1: AR/J This converter will allow changes between AR and J stall speeds only. (High Stall)

Config 2: DL/DK/G This converter will allow changes between DL/DK/G stall speeds only. (Mild-Moderate Stall)

Stators are only as strong as their weakest link. Other aftermarket converter manufacturers may use a billet stator, but will also use the weak factory one-way roller clutch designed for stock horsepower applications. The stock factory inner and outer races that make up the one-way roller clutch can barely hold up to stock conditions and can easily crack or strip out in medium to high horsepower applications. When this happens, the stator will start to freewheel and the converter will lose all torque multiplication. A damaged stator race will also greatly reduce vehicle drivability. 
 
Along with our billet aluminum stator found in all of our Allison converters, we utilize lugged outer races that will not strip out. Both the inner and outer races are wider and more substantial than OE to increase surface area and holding power, while preventing cracking failure. The steel outer ring is pinned to the stator, preventing it from being displaced and destroying the converter.
