A Stock L5P Duramax uses a 5mm dowel pin to keep the engine timed. Its common to see high mileage or high horsepower engines with damaged or sheared dowel pins. We here at DHD offer a solution for that problem.
Our DHD stock improved camshafts are modify to accept a straight keyway for added shear strength and dependability. All camshafts are cleaned, inspected and have polished bearing and lobe surfaces. Camshafts are shipped with a keyway.
