DHD 801-101 Duramax Diesel Stock Keyed Camshaft
The Stock Duramax uses a 5mm dowel pin to keep the engine timed. Its common to see high mileage or high horsepower engines with damaged or sheared dowel pins. We here at DHD offer a solution for that problem.
Our DHD stock improved camshafts are modify to accept a straight keyway for added shear strength and dependability. All camshafts are cleaned, inspected and have polished bearing and lobe surfaces. Camshafts are shipped with a keyway. Use the picture below to help you determine which camshaft you need.
To help us insure inventory levels and keep the cost low, a $75 refundable core charge will be applied to your order during checkout. Cores must be free of mechanical defect, rust, metal transfer, pitting and match the model you ordered. In the event you'd like to avoid the core charge, please check the box "Return Core First". This will hold your order until your core is received.
Fitment:
Camshafts with two bearing surfaces with oil galleys are for 01-10 Duramax. This second oil galley is used for turbo supply lube.
Camshafts with only one bearing surface with an oil galley fit 11-16 LML Duramax. The turbo is supplied oil differently on a LML.
Camshafts with narrow lobes are found only in L5P 2017-2022 Duramax Engines.
