The Compstar crankshaft is a staple in our engine program. Its production quality, consistency, balancing characteristics and target power level match everything we look for in an aftermarket crankshaft. Although this crank has conservative horsepower rating of 800HP its not uncommon for our customers to exceed the 1K mark.

Matching the Compstar crank up with a durable connecting rod is important. The days of using LBZ rods to offset build costs are gone! The Compastar Xtreme 4340 connecting rods have a thickened H beam flange and a reduced depth cut in the center of the rod, making them extra beefy. We have seen no issues with these rods at 1000HP.

Without air you cant make power! The Duramax camshaft is one of the most overlooked places to gain engine efficiency and durability. Although its not wrote in stone that an alt-fire camshaft will prevent crank failures, it is pretty widely accepted that it cant hurt! The new alt-fire camshafts from Callies are available in 2 models and serve as an excellent upgrade over stock.
