This is a genuine GM OEM AAM11.5 rear axle seal. These seals commonly leak and can be identified by smoking and/or a burning oil odor from the rear wheel well or braking system. It may also be noticeable by a grease buildup on the brake shield. If not serviced, a worn out seal can lead to poor breaking or an in/op rear braking issue.
