Tested in applications producing up to 1,600 hp and 3000 ft. lbs. of torque at the crank, the PPE Triple Disc Torque Converter is the ultimate in converter technology. The heavy-duty billet cover and three locking discs give you unbeatable lock-up performance. The PPE Triple Disc Torque Converter provides 130 square inches of clutch surface contact area, compared to just 49 in the stock unit (nearly 3 times stronger). Our race series converter should be used in Racing/Pulling applications that require a higher "Stall" R.P.M. than our standard converter. Increased stall is usually needed in applications where a larger turbo/turbos have been installed and more RPM is required to get the turbo on boost while on the brakes (brake boosting). These HD converters feature a Billet stator and will resist damage to the stator section from excessive brake stalling (over 5 sec).

*Note: If a NON “Race” converter is used in applications that would require brake stalling for more than 5 seconds the stator will be damaged and will not be covered under our warranty. Please contact us if you’re unsure if a race converter will be needed for your application.
