Dodge Cummins 5.9L 1998.5- Early 2004 APPS Throttle Position Sensor
These commercial grade Sensors are a direct bolt in replacement on a Dodge Cummins 5.9L 24V (1998.5-2003) and some 2004 trucks. If you have a 2004, you will need to inspect the engine bay and look the large black plastic cover on the driver-side front of the engine, just under the air intake manifold. That is the APPS assembly; if you have that then this Sensor will work for you.
This is the part of the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) or APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Switch) that actually fails. From Chrysler they only sell the sensor complete with the bellcrank which retails for over $500. This sensor will allow you to reuse the factory bellcrank and just replace the failed sensor, saving you time and money.
This sensor has a pigtail to adapt to the 6 prong stock connection.
Works on all automatic or manual transmission equipped trucks.
Does not work on trucks with the APPS installed under the driver's side battery.
Fine-Tune Calibration came be done, but isnt required if installed out of the box
